What is holistic nutrition?
Looking at what a person eats is really only one part of the equation. Your body is made up of a number of complex systems, all of which are integrated and connected. If one area is affected, then it may cause flow on effects to other areas and vice-versa. Holistic nutrition looks at how the food a person eats affects each system within the body. It also takes into account the lifestyle choices that a person makes and how these can impact how a person eats and subsequently feels. Broadly speaking, all aspects of a person's life is looked into - nutritional, biochemical (hormones and regulation systems within the body) and emotional - in order to understand how optimal health and wellbeing can be restored.
